Was everything I could have hoped for and more. If you can and think you might want to drive it, do it. Also weekdays are good if possible.

I took pictures with my phone and didn’t know what I was doing but I wanted some pictures. Pretty much either car and view or just view. I saw many turkeys, some deer, hit a bird, etc but no pictures of any of that. I’ll post in the order I took them.

Near the start, weather was pop up nasty clouds and chance of storms the whole time. I have one 5 minute rain shower actually hit during my trip. I did have some areas with a lot of leaves and sticks and some logs in road from overnight storms. I think this helped keep traffic down.

Hit the highest peak and met some motorcycle guys one with a side car. I took a few pictures with the sign but forgot to get any without me.

Common theme for me was stop, take a picture, and go while the people leisurely hanging out looked at me funny. I like to look and go see what is next. Also driving the whole thing takes forever with long stops.

Took some pics with signs so I could figure out where they were.

I could drive for 15 minutes plus sometimes without traffic so I had many places nearly to myself.

Owner must have been off hiking because I didn’t get to meet him/her. This pic was taken in one of the sections not near anything at all and very few people out and about.

Cool little 1 story lookout tower, had to watch out for the bees.

Mabry Mill, the wheel turns, mill doesn’t do anything though.

Stopped to take this just outside Roanoke. There is a little extra driving trail. I was the only one on it so I did stop to take this.

Trying something different.

T-Tops went in and out. Windows up and down. Wipers on and off. Heat to nothing to A/C. Every 30 minutes the weather changed. I got sunburnt first day with a “Trucker’s Tan”

More overlooks just for me.

Right at the end I ran into a couple with a 2012 and snapped some pictures. The lady jokingly asked me to not take it from this side because the bumper is popped out. But I wasn’t gonna ask them to turn their car around.

Great trip, I wish I could have done Skyline Dr and Shenandoah Natl Park but I didn’t have time. I did miss 20 miles due to road closure as well but it is very hard to get the whole thing open aligned with 3 days to do it.

I like how it is well integrated and flows with the design. Really wasn’t a big Camaro guy when I bought it, but it is growing on me. I bought it for the LS1/T56/TTop Combo. It coulda been a brick for all I cared.

The last time I was on the BRP was almost three years ago. It was either a Monday or a Tuesday but was the week following labor day. Slow drivers and motorcycles everywhere. I'll have to get back soon.

I was in Asheville for 2 semesters previously. Sadly I am moving North this week, this was a last hurrah kinda thing :-(, I actually drove up from Atlanta for it.

I used to live right by it so I could go places on it and plan around traffic. Can be hit or miss for sure.
